Tabin Rainforest Sanctuary Resort

Tabin Wildlife Reserve covers an area of 122,500 hectares northeast of Lahad Datu in eastern Sabah. The rectangular shaped reserve is one of the largest protected areas in Sabah and is mostly covered with lowland dipterocarp forest. Whilst Tabin contains areas of undisturbed forest, much of the reserve consists of previously logged over forest.

Day 01

Arrival Kota Kinabalu

Departure from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu . Enjoy a simple free and easy day here. Own expenses to transfer to the hotel.

Day 02

Kota Kinabalu - Lahad Datu

MH2612 08:20 - 11:00. Then Kota Kinabalu to Lahad Datu MH 3018 15:00 - 15:55. Transfer to Tabin Wildlife Resort

Driving time from Lahad Datu airport to the resort will take approximately 1 hrs 30 min. Upon arrival, guide briefing and check into your room which comes complete with private balcony, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and hot water shower. Nestled within the rainforest beside the Lipid River. Visit the Trogon Hall gallery and give a briefing on birds, insects and animals.

After dinner, enjoy a video presentation on Tabin’s natural wonders followed by a night safari to check out amazing wildlife.

Remark - there are only 3 flights from Kota Kinabalu to Lahad Datu. Depending on the availability of the seat, booking for this flight will be done accordingly and after consultation with customers.

Day 03

Exploring Sanctuary Day

Join the early morning bird walk at 6:30 am. After breakfast, drive to the base area for a trek to Lipad waterfall. Take a dip in the natural pool and enjoy a refreshing shower at the best pool. Guests may explore the surrounding area or just simply soak into nature.

In the evening, join the evening drive to look out for more amazing wildlifes. After dining guests can explore the trail in the resort in search of sleeping colorful birds, frogs and other animals.

After enjoying a local breakfast, a mud certificate presentation will be held. Check out depending on your onwards flight.
